MsFirstResponders.Org is the product of a special partnership between the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) and the Center for Governmental Training & Technology (CGT) in the Mississippi State University Extension Service (MSU-ES). The CGT assists MEMA in the delivery of educational programming for local government elected officials, emergency managers, and first response professionals.

This web site is hosted and maintained by the CGT. The CGT is a unit within the MSU-ES's Enterprise and Community Resource Development program area. For some thirty years the CGT has been a leader in the development and implementation of technical assistance and educational programs for local government officials.

Through these technical assistance and educational programs, the CGT assists local government officials, local units of government, and associations of local government in their efforts to improve governance at the grassroots and delivery of services to the citizens of Mississippi. The CGT does not take an advocacy role in the business, legislative, or political affairs of the local governments or local government associations with which it works.
